WHAT IS HEART IN DIAMOND?
It is a genuine, certified laboratory-grown diamond, but different than any other, because it is created using the signature carbon taken from hair or ashes of people and pets. These unique diamonds are made to celebrate life’s precious memories and become heirlooms, passed on for generations to come. Heart In Diamonds are real, certified diamonds that have been created in a laboratory by replicating nature’s conditions of extreme temperatures, pressure and pure carbon that occur over millions of years deep beneath the earth’s crust. Heart In Diamond created diamonds possess the identical chemical, optical and physical properties of earth-mined diamonds.
HOW MUCH HAIR, FUR OR ASHES ARE REQUIRED TO CREATE A DIAMOND?
We need at least 2/3rd of a cup or about 100g of cremated ashes, or ½ (2 grams) a cup of hair or fur per diamond. You can combine both source types, e.g. hair and ashes, and multiple people/pets in one diamond.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE SOURCES OF PERSONAL CARBON USED TO CREATE A SINGLE DIAMOND?
There is no limit to the number of people and/or pets whose signature carbon can be used to create your diamond.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ENTIRE PERSONAL CARBON SOURCE IS NOT USED TO CREATE THE DIAMOND?
It is rare to have excess carbon following the creation process. However, in the event that there is excess this will be returned to you.
HOW DOES THE DIAMOND CREATION PROCESS WORK?
A Heart In Diamond is formed by applying high pressure and high temperature to your source of carbon –a process that replicates conditions found deep inside the earth. We begin with a tiny diamond seed and pure signature carbon. These core components are placed in a growth chamber to form a real “diamond in the rough”. This rough diamond is then cut and polished to the customers specifications. You can see our Creation Process video on our website.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS NEEDED TO CREATE A PERSONAL DIAMOND?
- An order is placed by you by filling out the order form and sending this with your sample to us. An ID tracking number is assigned to the order. (PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR THE ORDER FORM)
2. A 50% pre-payment is made by you
3. Your sample is sent to the lab to start the process.
4. Production period commences and includes:
a. Chemical analysis of the material
b. Assembling unique diamond foundation core for growth
c. Diamond growth process
d. Rough diamond inspection
e. Rough diamond cutting
f. Cut and polished diamond inspected by lab and issued Certificate of Authenticity
g. Diamond is sent to gemological laboratory for grading
h. Diamond is set in jewellery setting (optional)
i. Diamond is packaged and ready to be shipped to you
j. Final payment is made prior to shipment
k. Your Heart In Diamond is sent to you
WHAT IS THE HEART IN DIAMOND MANUFACTURER GUARANTEE?
Your Heart In Diamond includes a lifetime guarantee against any defects originating from or caused by the diamond creation process. Heart In Diamonds are not guaranteed against damage or loss as a result of theft, wilful damage or breakage, application of high heat treatment, change of mind, buyer’s remorse and natural inclusions that result from the growth process.

DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE MOUNTING AND SETTING?
No, it doesn’t, the cost of jewellery is separate. Pricing for the loose diamonds and jewellery settings can be found on our website.We provide an array of beautiful settings in 18 carat white and yellow gold. If the design you desire is not amongst our current options, we will work with you to design and create the custom setting of your dreams.

WHAT IF I WANT A DIFFERENT CUT?
Heart In Diamond is committed to doing everything possible to create the diamond of your dreams. Please contact our representative and we will happily assist with any special requests.
Step 1
Upon our receiving of your signed Purchasing Order Form, you will be issued with a Heart In Diamond ID number, which you can use to track the status of your order through an Order Tracking page.
Once the hair or ashes sample* is arrived at the laboratory, it undergoes the process of analysis. The purpose of the analysis is to define the chemical composition and extract the carbon out of the material.
*0.5 – 2 grams of hair or 100 grams of ashes are required for creation of your personal diamond.
Step 2
After the sample analysis is completed, the carbon contained within will be extracted and added to the diamond growing foundation, out of which a unique crystalline matrix will grow, creating a personal diamond.
Step 3
The mixture is placed in the core of the HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) machine. This unique and complex machinery will recreate diamond-growing conditions, similar to those deep in the Earth’s crust where typical HPHT conditions are in excess of 2000°C and 60,000 atmospheres, that will be applied to grow your personal diamond.
Step 4
After the growth phase is completed our specialists will polish and cut your diamond in accordance to industry standards to accommodate your request.
Step 5
After the diamond is cut and polished, it goes through our strict quality control and grading processes. When all the aforementioned is done, we issue an Authenticity Certificate containing all the details about your personal diamond.
As you can see, your Heart In Diamond goes through many stages of development before it becomes a personal diamond. It requires between 70 to 120 days (depending on the Purchase Option), from the moment we receive the hair or ashes samples at our laboratory in order to create and deliver the personal diamond to your doorstep.
